Learn Successful Habits In Transition to Build Resilience!

Can I keep it real with you? My Adverse Childhood Experience (ACE) score is 6/10. That means I’ve been through enough trauma that the stats say I’m at risk of dying up to 20 years earlier than most. I'm not trying to be morbid here but... a score of 6 or higher puts you at greater risk for chronic disease, mental illness, violence, and being a victim of violence - all things I've experienced. I was a teen parent, faced homelessness, got caught up in legal battles, and was expelled from school. By all accounts, I wasn’t supposed to get this far.
An ACE score like mine comes with a list of outcomes no one wants: poor health, substance misuse, shorter lifespan, and even learning or behavior problems. Kids with a score of 4 or higher are 30 times more likely to struggle in school. According to the numbers, I was set up to fail before I even had a chance to try!
But here’s the thing—I learned early on that while I could choose my actions, I couldn’t choose the consequences. That’s why I became intentional about sorting out the stress in my life, holding myself accountable, looking inward, and building habits that work for me to stay healthy, grounded, and resilient.
Fast forward, and now I’m a professional speaker, serial entrepreneur, nonprofit founder, and so much more! I’ve helped raise over $100K for teen parents and partnered with schools to teach professional development, successful habits, and resilience. In 2024, I was honored with the Brockton NAACP Phenomenal Woman Award and sat on the Governor’s Transition Committee for Thriving Youth in 2023.
So, what changed? I Learned SHiT—Successful Habits In Transition—that helped me build the resilience necessary to navigate adversity. Now, I’m using this framework combined with my story to show others how to do the same. Resilience is a choice, and I’m living proof that you can turn your stress into success with high-performance habits!
